Living in South Devon (UK), the viscerally-ancient lands of Dartmoor and the generous ecology of the Jurassic Coast shapes my work and most other aspects of my life.

After publishing the first iteration of Ecological Organisations: A Design Lens in 2023, my fascination with how us human creatures can be in relationship with and within this ecological universe, at this time, in the part of the world that I inhabit, deepened. Ecological Enquiry, an enquiry practice exploring ecologicalness as both innate state of being and available way of being, arose out of decades of personal practise and professional experience as a facilitator, designer, and activator.

As an enquiry practise, it is one pathway into a deepening of individual and collective relationship with self, other, and world as ecological: as a multispecies, multimatter, multidimensional endeavour. I now focus entirely on Ecological Enquiry, the We Are Seaspray substack and its visual sibling, the weareseaspray instagram page, and other related work.

Ecological Enquiry and Ecological Organisations: A Design Lens are shared freely as creative commons, and have extensive online guidebooks.
