oh well, guess we have to write a fifty character description. what do you guys think about semiconductorsw? i find the whole thing fascinating: a classic bjt transistor has 3 semiconductor regions, where first one is the emitter, middle is the base and the last one is a collector. with two pn junctions in between them, applying a small voltage to the basde makes it easier for electrons to cross into the base, and since collector is kept more positive than the base, they'll later be pulled into it
